How many times OK to wash cold air filter?

I have two filters I rotate every couple months or so. When I rotate, I wash the dirty filter and let that dry. As long as the filters still hold their form, are there any limits to how many times I can clean/rotate these?

What is the filter made off? That will determine how often you can clean it.

Look through it at the sun. Look for holes. When you start to see spots of light through the mesh, it replacement time.
Also, Get an air cleaner restriction gauge and install it in your air box after the air cleaner. Don't wash the air cleaner until you see it move. Cleanable air filters let in dirt. As long as it flows, it will filter better dirty.
