Cold is not really good for these batteries, so to keep them warm, how are you doing this? Someone was telling me to hand or foot warmers tapped to battery or around it rather.
Don't buy junky batteries! A good battery should hold up to dips below freezing better than cheaper batteries. Now that said, don't they have solar based heaters that can be mounted near the battery to keep it warm?
