Has anyone managed to import a Nissan Patrol into the US? They seem like very capable overlanders.

Aussies, who let's face it are the godfathers of off roading love land cruisers and Patrols. The older Patrols are very similar platforms to the 80 series land cruiser. Solid front and read coil sprung axles, spacious cabin, comfortable and reliable.

For some reason we never go them in the US but I would love to have one. Is there any way to import them?

I do not mind which model it is if it has the coil sprung solid axles.

I do believe it makes a great rival to the 80 series.

I do agree, Patrols are great vehicles, some of the best off roaders ever made.

You may be able to import the older ones through the 25 year rule mate.

Vehicles that are over 25 years old can now be imported to the US, so I would start from there!

As I am sure you know, this is not a cheap process!
