Flexible solar panels and air circulation

Aren't solar panels temp sensitive? If so, what is going with flexible panels that are mounted directly to the campers roof?

Yes.
Its hard to get a good comparison but I want to say my flex panels are about 20% less then my same size rigid set above the roof a bit.
Not just the heat but panel design also.

But if you are mountinging to top of tent and tent top is thin already, won't that count towards circulation? It's not like moun ting on tent top is solid wood. Or am I seeing this wrong?

Your not wrong. Where they have issues is when their glued to the roof.
