Top 10 Jeep Gladiator Accessories

First off, let me say this – though this article is about Jeep Gladiators, all the accessories I describe can be used on other Jeeps. So no matter what kind of Jeeper you are, you’re covered!

Now, one of the reasons I bought by Gladiator is because it has incredible off-road capabilities. But another reason is that there are endless possibilities for adding accessories to make the truck even more capable. That’s what this post is all about!

Below, I’ve identified some of my absolute favorite Jeep Gladiator accessories that I found at CARiD, my favorite site for sourcing Jeep accessories. Have a look, see what you like, and get your Jeep outfitted for camping, overlanding, off-roading, and other outdoor adventures!

Top Jeep Gladiator Accessories: Coverking Stormproof Custom Car Cover

I’m lucky to have a garage where I can keep my Jeep Gladiator. Not everyone is that lucky, though, so having some sort of protection for your rig is of the utmost importance.

There are plenty of Gladiator covers out there, but if you want something top-notch that’s made to last and provide year-round protection, look no further at the Coverking Stormproof Custom Car Cover.

First off, this cover is made specifically for your Gladiator’s model year, so it fits like a glove. The durable materials ensure your truck is protected from snow, rain, and UV rays, yet the cover is lightweight so you don’t have to be a bodybuilder to get it on and off your Jeep!

Perhaps more importantly, this cover doesn’t have coatings that wear off over time. Instead, the characteristics of the coating are built into the cover for added durability. In other words, this is a cover that you invest in once and get years and years and years of use out of. That’s just what you want for your Gladiator!

K&N 57 Series FIPK Generation II High-Density Cold Air Intake System

k and n cold air intake for jeep gladiator

One of the first mods I do with all my vehicles is adding a new cold air filter. Getting the motor breathing better is great for both on-road and off-road performance, and with a complete cold air intake system like the K&N 57 Series, your Gladiator will getĀ a lotĀ more airflow.

This kit comes with a K&N air filter and a custom-designed air intake tube. The intake tube smooths the airflow into the Gladiator’s engine, which, in turn, gives the engine better performance. In fact, adding this kit allows your Gladiator’s engine to produce more horsepower and more torque, which results in improved acceleration. What’s not to like?!

But, hey, if this cold air intake system isn’t quite what you want, just contact CARiD. Their expert staff will help you evaluate your needs and can recommend products that fit those needs and your budget.

Top Jeep Gladiator Accessories: Lloyd NorthRidge Custom Fit Floor Mats

This is a simple upgrade, but one that’s well worth it…

The OEM floor mats that come in Jeeps (and most other brands, for that matter) are terrible, to say the least. They don’t hold up, the carpeted surface retains tons of dirt, and it’s easy to wear holes in them.

So, my solution is adding Lloyd NorthRidge custom floor mats. These mats fit the floor pan of your Gladiator perfectly, so they have a clean, OEM look. But, because they fit so well, they do a much better job of protecting the Jeep’s carpet.

Likewise, the all-weather material helps contain mud, snow, and water, and they’re incredibly easy to clean. Just pick the color that matches your Jeep, get rid of the EOM floor mats, and add these bad boys to your rig for a much cleaner and better-protected interior!

Top Jeep Gladiator Accessories:Ā Tekonsha P3 Electronic Proportional Brake Control

An electronic brake controller is a must-have for me, as I frequently tow a trailer with my Jeep (as shown below). But not all electronic brake controllers are alike…

Some brake controllers provide the same power no matter the braking conditions. However, others, like the Tekonsha P3, offerĀ proportionalĀ brake control, which adjusts the power to the type of braking event. If you are braking hard, the controller applies more power. But if it’s just a gentle braking, it applies less power. It’s pretty simple!

Needless to say, when you’re towing a trailer with your Gladiator, you want a reliable brake controller that will help you come to a stop. The Kenosha does just that. Better still, it’s a plug-and-play installation in most vehicles, so you don’t have to spend hours wiring it. Nice!

I’ve had this brake controller in my Jeep since I bought the truck in 2020. I can attest to the ease of installation. It’s also easy to use and extremely effective. What’s not to like?!

CURT Basket Cargo Carrier

I don’t know about you, but no matter how hard I try to reduce the amount of gear I take camping and overlanding, there always seems to be too much to fit inside my truck and in the bed. That’s where a cargo carrier like the Curt Basket shown above comes into play.

This carrier has a 500-pound capacity, so you can really load it up with extra gear. The dimensions of 60x20x6 make it just the right size for larger gear like a BBQ, storage totes, firewood, or a generator without being so large that it’s a cumbersome addition to the back of your truck. Of course, the heavy-duty carbide steel construction means it’ll do its thing for years and years to come.

The carrier has a fixed shank for 2-inch receivers, so it’s a simple matter of sliding it into the receiver on your Jeep, adding a locking hitch pin, and loading it up. Adding utility to your Jeep really can’t get more simple!

Top Jeep Gladiator Accessories: Rock Slide Engineering R-SE Powered Black Step Sliders

rock slide engineering step sliders

One of my favorite Jeep Gladitor accessories is hands-down my Rock Slide Engineering R-SE Powered Step Sliders. I installed these nearly three years ago, and they have worked oh-so-smoothly ever since.

On the one hand, these step sliders are great for getting my son in and out of the truck. Heck, they make it easier forĀ meĀ to get in and out of the truck, too! But on the other hand, these step sliders offer protection to the vulnerable rocker panels when I’m off-roading. It’s a win-win!

These made-in-the-USA step sliders are made from 3/16-inch steel that’s powder-coated for added durability. Though my steps have taken some use and abuse over the years, their durable construction means they still work like a charm with zero rust. Plus, they look darn good!

BLACK RHINO FUJI Matte Gunmetal Wheels

Though I appreciate all the items on this list, one that’s worth its weight in gold is a good set of wheels, like the BLACK RHINO FUJI wheels shown above…

If you’re like me, one of the first things you swap out on your new vehicle are the wheels. This is especially important for a rig like a Gladiator that’s going to spend time off-roading – you want wheels that are tough, durable, and can take a beating. BLACK RHINO certainly fits the bill.

I’m ex-military, so for me, these FUJI matte gunmetal wheels were a no-brainer – I love the strong military look they give my Jeep. Though Matte Gunmetal was my choice, you can get Olive Drab Green, Gloss White, or Matte Black to suit your particular tastes.

Again, if you’re not sure if these are the wheels for you, let the CARiD experts help you out! Their staff isn’t just friendly, but they’re also extremely knowledgeable. With their help, you can outfit your Jeep with whatever wheels and other accessories your heart desires!

Top Jeep Gladiator Accessories: Boxer Tools Cargo Net

A really inexpensive upgrade you can make to your Gladiator is a cargo net. I have several of these, and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve thought, “Man, I’m glad I have this thing!”

I have a topper on my Jeep (shown below), but even so, I still use these nets all the time to keep cargo in place. When I’m off-roading and my gear is shifting around in the bed of the truck, these nets are a God-send for keeping stuff where it should be.

The nets from Boxer Tools are even better than most, too. The cordage is made from latex, which enhances the long-term durability of the net. That means you can invest in one and use it for years and years before a replacement is needed.

SmartCap EVO Sport Series Truck Bed Cap

Yet another favorite addition to my truck has been my topper. Now, full disclosure – I have an RLD Design topper. When I bought it, I actually wanted the SmartCap EVO Sport, however, this was before SmartCap got their new plant up and running. As a result, they had an enormous backorder. I couldn’t wait, though.

Regardless, a bed cap like the SmartCap EVO offers tons of utility and security. On the one hand, you’ve got a truck bed-sized area for your gear that’s protected from the elements. On the other hand, you have an area that you can lock securely to ensure no one takes off with your stuff when your truck is parked on the street.

Beyond that, I love how a good topper makes a Gladiator look. There’s definitely a cool factor – especially with this EVO Sport model. If I could, I’d go back in time and tell myself to wait a little longer for one of these – they areĀ thatĀ good!

Top Jeep Gladiator Accessories: Westin Overland Cargo Rack

Earlier, I talked about how wheels are both utilitarian and can completely change the look of your Jeep. Well, a cargo rack can do the same!

On the one hand, there are tons of different brands and styles to choose from. On the other hand, you have to consider the height of the bed rack. Then there’s colors, available accessories, and functionality features to consider.

As I mentioned before, I have a topper on my truck, so I don’t have a cargo rack. However, if I didn’t have a topper, I’d go with something like this Westin Overland cargo rack. Why is that?

Well, it’s simple…

I’d want something that has a partial cab height so I could put a rooftop tent on it. Doing so means it would be nearly flush with the cab’s roofline. I think these look better (not that aesthetics are the most important thing here…). But, at the same time, the lower profile means less air resistance and improved fuel mileage.

Just beware that if you go with a bed rack, you usually can’t use a tonneau cover. So, this really comes down to what kind of utility you need out of your truck. If you don’t need a cover on your bed, install a rack, gear up, and hit the road with a bed rack on your Gladiator!

Remember – outfitting your rig with Jeep Gladiator accessories isn’t just about the gear you buy. It’s also about where you buy it. Some outfits sell you the gear and send you on your way with little in the way of support. But that’s not the case with CARiD. You get top-notch service before, during, and after the sale, so you’re confident in your purchase and that your gear is right for your specific needs.

So, what are you waiting for?! Start shopping for Jeep Gladiator accessories and turn your rig into your dream outdoor adventure machine!
