I have to admit that when I think of the Nürburgring, I do not think of driving a truck around it. I doubt most of us do…Instead, you probably think of trucks in environments like that shown above.
When I think of the Nürburgring, I think of Lambos and Porsches and Bugattis roaring around the famed track.
But, hey, the Ram TRX is basically a truck version of a supercar, so why not give it a go?
Ram TRX vs Nürburgring
BTGDale put this big ol’ truck on the Nürburgring, and the video proof is below (caution: curse words are used!):
Now, before we get to the details of the TRX vs Nürburgring video, let’s refresh our memories about some of the specs of this monster truck.
It’s a 1/2-ton body with a 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 under the hood that produces 702 horsepower. The TRX is limited to 117 mph and it hits 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. Those are all great numbers, to be sure, but this truck was developed for off-roading and dune running, not racing around a track.
That’s probably why the big truck’s brakes can be seen smoking in the video!
The TRX tips the scales at 6,400 pounds, so its brakes were most certainly put to the test on the many twists and turns on the Nürburgring.
The video is entertaining, to say the least, so it’s worth a watch. If you have a Ram TRX, it might make you want to take it to your local track day. And if you don’t have a Ram TRX, this video might compel you to get one!
