Which is the most comfortable way to do overlanding?

Towing a full sized camper trailer. But you would be limited as far as off roading goes. I would say a light pop up truck based camper would be the best choice if you also want to do proper trails

I would say a 4x4 van here. You are limited as to what trails you can drive though
