Starlink Mini thoughts?

Anyone try this out yet? Curious on how well it works. You need to manually move that around right? So if you don't move it, does it lose connection?

One of my friends just got one. He has had the original since they came out. Right off the bat he said the download speed was slower but unless your streaming video, it wont be noticeable. Having to manually point the antenna is easy and trees have a bit more effect on it over the other.
On the positive side. He doesn't need an inverter (12v), it draws way less and takes up way less room.

His business is software and consulting. He literally lives out of his 4Runner quite a bit of the year. When he's camping he runs his business off starlink.
That includes video conferencing. In other words, he uses the crap out of starlink. My decision to buy one will be based on what he says over the next month. So far its looking good.

Starlink Roam

Go here and you see the two plans. he's doing the $50 a month right now. The cool part is you can turn it off when your not using it. If your camping and forgot to turn the service back on, it will let you log in and turn it on remotely.

$50 bucks isn't bad. I might need to look at this. So can you watch videos with this or it's not powerful enough?

not sure yet. for me it will replace my Garmin mini. It would be nice but I don't know how much data that uses. The $50 is limited to 50 gig. $150 is unlimited.
