Just found a 12 pack of these Pull Start Fire Pull String Firestarters my wife picked up last year. Completely forgot I had these, these were not cheap. She bought these last October. Any idea if these have a shelf life on when they will burn the best?

In the post, you wrote "these were not cheap". I looked at the picture and saw $699.00 prime. Then I spent about a minute trying to justify $700 on a fire starter.
Gawd...is it monday still.

You want to know what's funny? When I posted my screen shot, I noticed that and thought the same thing. Let me fix my screen shot! :ROFLMAO:

Ha! I thought the same thing. Now regarding your question, assuming you don't keep these sitting in direct sunlight for a couple years, these should fire up easily

Hey there!

Great find! Pull Start Fire Pull String Firestarters are pretty handy to have around. The good news is that these firestarters are designed to have a long shelf life. Generally, as long as they are stored in a cool, dry place, they should work just as effectively as when you first got them.

Shelf Life:Most firestarters, including Pull Start Fire, don’t have a strict expiration date, but their effectiveness can be impacted by storage conditions. If they've been kept away from moisture and extreme temperatures, they should still burn well.

Optimal Conditions:

  • Dry Storage: Keeping them dry is crucial. Moisture can affect their ability to ignite.
  • Temperature: Avoid storing them in places with extreme temperature fluctuations. A stable, room temperature environment is ideal.
Performance Check:If you’re unsure, you can test one out before your next camping trip to ensure it lights up as expected.

These firestarters are designed to be durable, so they should still perform well even after a year. Enjoy your next campfire!
