Securing gear while you are camping?

We are buying our first camping trailer and going to start bringing out kids out camping. Just wondering what you do to secure your gear when you leave your camp site?

The only time I ever worried was "remote" camping near civilization. I still lock things up that can grow legs easily (nice camping chairs), but mostly the backcountry areas, I never worried about it. Public campgrounds, my biggest issue was kids stealing beer out of my ice chest. Remote, I leave out a table, trash bag....just to let people know someone is currently camping there.

Agree, depends on location, remote disperse, Camping I don’t worry about anything it’s not until I am in proximity of other campers in unknown areas. In those cases, I put valuables in truck and carry whatever else on me, frankly speaking never had any issues knock on wood.

Thank you all. A lot more questions coming from us. We have been working on finding the right trailer, and getting new gear (updating some) to take our camping experience to a more in depth experience. Excited!

Knock on wood, I have not had issues with security. That said, wallet and small electronics, I just keep in my truck.

Same here. Expensive stuff, wallets and electronics we will place in our truck under a towel or something. Rest is just left in place. Never had any issues though
