Running overlanding fridge long term

I currently have a Dometic fridge, however want to get another one, however this one will be left on 24/7 and likely 365 days a year. Are these smaller fridges the same as the one in our homes where they can run for years without incident?

Oh, that is a very good question. I have never tried. I have only ran mine for 2 weeks at most. Actually that was 12 days. Usually when I get home, I empty what is in it, clean it and shut off with door open to air out.
