RSI SmartCap leaking problem?

I've been waiting for a RSI SmartCap for some time. Today I ran into a Gladiator owner who has one and he stated the thing is a nightmare to seal up and leaks when it rains and going through a car wash. This is a big bummer if others are experiencing the same.

Have you heard or experience this?

Don't have one, sorry to hear as my brother in law has one on order for months for his Toyota. Have you looked at other brands that offer similar tops?

I think this could be a design flaw with these things being shipped in pieces vs all in one option. A friend of mine has one and it looks amazing (one of the best looking caps on the market IMHO), however it leaks for him as well. I figured it was something just he was having a tough time with, ready this, has me wondering.

That's not good if this is a larger problem, but then it does half ass make sense. Most won't have a clue on properly installing like that from factory. Kinda not surprised on the leaks.

Well that is just a big kick in the nuts. Will review further, however I can't imagine all face this problem.

When you have a product like this that is dependant of the consumer to put together/install, you are doing to have plenty of cases where some simply don't put together as it shoulds and you get in this example leaks.
