Mahindra Roxor a Jeep Clone?

Interesting, I saw someone offroad with a Roxor from Mahindra on Saturday. I really didn't know much about these trucks or brand. I knew India had a knock off of Jeep, but never seen one in person. This person I ran into on the trail had one. He said it was only for offroad use only. Which surprised me as it looked like something you could drive on or offroad.

Anyone happen to know the story on these trucks?

These trucks are a pain in Jeeps side for years for cloning their trucks. Seems like they were lucky. Hope Jeep gets them.

As a Toyota person, I have no skin either or. However I would stick with the Jeep. That said, here is a video that shows a comparison between one of these Roxor and a Wrangler. Now it's a stupid test as the Wrangler is on stock tires, not aired down at all. The Roxor has a lift and larger tires, which are aired down. But still entertaining video to watch

Put aside the suspension and tire differences, I'm still surprised that Roxor even performed as well as it did. Still I would take the Jeep all day long. I would never buy a Chinese knockoff, and certainly wouldn't consider this either.

Entertaining video and that's about it. Thank you for brightening my morning.

This is a good example of why people need to take an IQ test before being allowed to post on U-Tube. The end of the video showing the Red Neck Carousel really drove that point home. This wasn't a comparison, it was a bunch of newbs out playing. The guy driving the Jeep had no driving skill and the springs in the Roxor were way too stiff,

To me, the Roxor is just a small diesel side by side. Jeeps became popular because, ranchers and farmers bought the surplus ones after WW2. Small underpowered cheap 4wd. Decades later the side by side took its place. This is Roxor's demographic. A modern street legal side by side. The Roxor is more of a utility farm vehicle and not an off road vehicle. If you want a comparison, build a Suzuki Samurai. Their about the same size and power. Years ago, we put Samurai bodies on Toyota Pick up frames. 22R Engine, wider, longer and didn't weigh anything. Now you have a nice 4x4.

Jeeps pissed at the body style but you cant even compare the two. The one only resembles the other. If I wanted a cute Jeep clone to cruise around in, it would be way cheaper to buy a Roxor then it would be to build an old WW2 military Jeep,

People knew about it but from what I understood, it didn't really take off until the surplus ones started flooding the market.

Entertainment is about it. If this was a true comparison, something to be taken seriously, there are a number of holes in how this was executed.
