Is a secondary diesel fuel filter worth it?

it depends on where you are traveling. if it remote areas like Africa or Australia or Alaska them maybe yes. Otherwise I would say not
 
Only if you travel through remote areas as mentioned above. In normal diesel stakes you will never need a secondary filter
 
As said above, I wouldn't bother getting one if all I was doing was driving through civilised areas. Contaminated diesel is mostly an issue in the more remote parts of the world
 
they are not too expensive especially if you can fit it yourself. So, I think I would of gone for one just for peace of mind. It will only do you good
