How do you do maintenance like servicing in remote areas?

if I am very remote and do not have access to a town with a garage I wait until I am somewhere where I do. There is no point in doing it in the middle of nowhere
 
I wait until I am somewhere with a garage. No point in rolling in the dirt unless you have gone past the service by a lot
 
I also wait until I have access to a garage mate. In the US you can't really be that remote as in Australia for example. Within. a couple of days you will reach some kind of village with a garage
