How do you calculate the cost of being on the road?

Hmm, tough one. First you need to take into account your vehicle, how needy it is interns of maintenance, how thirsty it is and the countries you will be traveling through. Some are far cheaper than others.

From there on, you need to decide if you will spend the majority of you time camping which is free or very low cost or sleeping at hotels. Also, how far you will be driving and how frequently.
