Has anyone connected hunting with overlanding?

I had this though of overlanding and hunting along the way. Eat what you get and be fully sustained through nature while on the road. Has anyone done this before? Obviously you will have some emergency supplies just in case but the whole idea sounds like fun!

I have done it in the past. however, I was hunting small animals that do not require a lot of butchering and storing of meat as it can be difficult to do that out of a car.

Small animals can be stored in your freezer easily. Fish is also a great idea as again, their small size and great taste m make them a great catch when overlanding.

I have yet to try hunting but it certainly is something that I have on my bucket list. As soon as I get some experience I will definitely combine the two on a trip.
