Years of backpacking made me conserve water. Its now a habit. My utensils and cooking gear get cleaned with minimum water or just wiped clean, then thrown in the dish washer when I get home. Cast iron is commonly just wiped clean and reoiled. I dont cook the same way when I camp as I do at home. My meals are planned with this in mind. Nothing elaborate. I constantly make people laugh when lunch is something heated on the engine. Breakfast and dinner are normally wrapped in a tortilla and precooked.
My kitchen clean up is very minimal at best.
