Can ant spray be sprayed directly on tent?

Saturday morning we woke up to our tent covered in curious small ants. I've never seen this before and thought perhaps they were attracted to the canvas conditioner I had last used on the tent. Still not sure. But was wondering, can ant spray be sprayed directly on a tent or will that harm the canvas or color in anyway?

Hard to say, I would test out on small bit of tent where hard to see and see how fabric handles it. I wouldn't go heavy though. Just enough to contact, ants are very sensitive, a little goes a long way.

I would stay away from harsh chemicals and just use vinegar and water mixture. Spray that around your camp and tent. Ants hate vinegar.

Agree, go with something organic and won't overrun the tent with smell
