The New Wrangler 4xe Starts at $54,125

Stellantis

As we reported yesterday, Ford and GM saw lower profits in the third quarter of this year, which would have been even lower had the average sales price of their vehicles not been above $51,000 and $50,000, respectively.

Well, the new Wrangler 4xe certainly hits that mark…

Pricing Information for the New Wrangler 4xe

According to Cars Direct, the base model of Jeep’s new 2022 PHEV is $54,125 for the Unlimited version. This represents a price increase of $3,630 from its original MSRP earlier this year. The price has increased three times now.

If you want a 2022 Rubicon 4xe, you’ll have to shell out $57,825. That’s $4,635 more than someone that bought one 10 months ago.

What You Get for the Price

While the price increase stings a bit, I’ll be the first to admit that you get a lot for the money.

Under the hood are a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gas engine and a 134-horsepower e-motor that together make 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque.

On its own, the e-motor has a range of 21 miles, and together with the gas engine, you can get about 370 miles before the need to fill up or recharge. And since it’s an electric hybrid, the new Wrangler 4xe qualifies for a $7,500 federal tax credit.

Of course, with the price of the 4xe rising rapidly, you’ll need every bit of that $7,500 credit…

Still, the new Wrangler 4xe is every bit legendary Jeep. That means it should be ultra-reliable, ludicrously capable off-road, and it should hold its value pretty well, too.
