One of the first things that strikes you when you see the Kudu is its perfect size. At roughly 20.5 feet long, 7 feet wide, and 7.5 feet tall with the pop-top roof up, this trailer offers all the space you need for adventures of all kinds but does so without being overly large.

Of course, a major component of the Kudu’s ideal size is the pop-top roof. The roof features a one-piece aluminum place. The tent is made of waterproof PVC, so you can camp in inclement weather without worry that rain or snow will intrude into the tent space. I don’t know about you, but my kind of outdoor adventures take place well off the beaten path. But to get off the beaten path, you need a rig that can handle the rough stuff. The Kruger Bush Campers Kudu certainly fits the bill…
For example, this trailer is built on a one-piece welded galvanized chassis made of 3mm Q345 steel square tubing. To enhance its durability, the chassis is hot-dipped in tar paint. In other words, this chassis is strong, sturdy, and ready to take on the muddiest of trails!
The trailer rides on 265/75 R16 tires wrapped around aluminum alloy rims. The trailer also features electric brakes for improved control when stopping or descending steep grades. And when the trail gets really wild, you can tow with confidence, knowing that the Kudu features a heavy-duty two-inch independent suspension with dual shock absorbers.

My idea of a fun outdoor adventure isn’t just to get way off-grid. I also want a few creature comforts to make camp life more like home. Kruger Bush Campers delivers on this front with a host of amenities that truly make the Kudu a home on wheels.

Inside the Kudu, you’ll find a top bed that’s over 80 inches long and more than 5 inches thick. This is the ideal spot to stretch out and relax for an afternoon nap after a long day of trekking to your favorite camp spot.
But the upper bed isn’t the only option for lounging – the Kudu has a sofa bed that’s 6 feet, 8 inches long by nearly 5 feet wide. Have a seat to read a good book or catch up with an old friend or fold the sofa bed out for guests to crash. It’s a comfortable and functional option either way!
The Kudu Has a Shower, Too!
One of my favorite features of the Kruger Bush Campers Kudu is the indoor shower. This PVC room is completely waterproof and allows you to get cleaned up after trail riding on your bike, hiking with your dog, or fishing nearby lakes and streams. And since this is a pop-top trailer, you can actually stand up straight as you take a shower.
But this trailer has an ace up its sleeve – a second shower! If you’re just too dirty to make your way into the trailer to get cleaned up, you can use the outdoor shower to get cleaned up. The outdoor shower is also convenient for giving your dog a quick bath, hosing off dirty gear, and the like. I don’t recall seeing another trailer with two showers before, especially one this size!
You need a robust water system to feed the two showers, and the Kudu definitely has the goods. The trailer has nearly 32 gallons of freshwater storage between two plastic water tanks. Not only that, but the tanks are insulated, and the outside is protected by a stainless steel plate. The freshwater tank is complemented by a nearly 20-gallon grey water tank that is insulated and protected by a steel plate as well.

Continuing with the comfort theme, the Kruger Bush Campers Kudu brings a few other noteworthy items to the table…
On the one hand, you get two 100AH deep-cycle batteries paired with a 120-volt, 200-watt solar panel. Additionally, the trailer is equipped with a 30-amp DC charger as well as a 2000-watt inverter. In other words, you get plenty of battery capacity, the ability to charge the batteries with solar, and you can convert the DC power to AC so you can use appliances like your laptop or coffee pot while you’re camping.
On the other hand, the Kudu features a diesel heater for those chilly nights and an air conditioner to cool you off during the heat of the day. A full HVAC system is not something you typically find in a trailer this size, but then again, Kruger Bush Campers isn’t your typical trailer company!
On top of all that, you can whip up fantastic meals in the Kudu’s outdoor kitchen. I love a good outdoor kitchen because you get all the room you need to cook without stinking up the trailer’s interior with the smells of dinner. Plus, a well-designed outdoor kitchen like the Kudu’s makes cooking easier with a ton of storage, a large stove, a 50-liter fridge, and power points within arm’s reach. The kitchen enclosure even acts as an awning, so you’re protected from rain, sun, and snow as you cook. Nice!
Big Enough for Camping, Small Enough for Your Garage
When thinking about the Kruger Bush Campers Kudu, the old adage, “Good things come in small packages,” comes to mind. This trailer is incredibly well-appointed but does so without being overly large.
In fact, you can take this camper out on multi-day camping trips or lengthy overlanding trips and have all the comforts and conveniences you want. And when you’re ready to come home, you can benefit from the ability to park this camper inside a standard-sized garage!
Being able to park your camper inside is an enormous benefit.
